EnglishAdvantages of LL18 Ultra-Low Friction Composite Brake Block
1.Low wear and low noise.
2.Effectively replaces cast iron brake blocks and reduces environmental pollution.
3.No interference with railway signaling systems.
4.Excellent cold resistance.
European LL ultra-low friction composite brake shoes are specially developed for modern freight wagon braking systems in accordance with European UIC railway standards. The product model Bgu (250mm) complies with UIC 541-4 technical requirements and is designed for freight wagon applications requiring stable braking performance, low wheel wear, and reduced operating noise.
Compared with conventional cast iron brake blocks, LL composite friction shoes provide smoother braking characteristics, better thermal stability, and improved wheel protection. The advanced composite friction material technology helps reduce maintenance costs while improving braking efficiency for railway freight transportation.
Our LL railroad brake shoes currently hold temporary product certification, and the vehicle-mounted operational testing program is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. After the successful completion of operational validation, the temporary certification will be upgraded to formal certification.
Suitable wheel diameters include:
Ø 920mm
Ø 870mm
Ø 840mm
The products are manufactured under strict railway quality control systems and are suitable for heavy-load freight transportation and international railway projects.
UIC 541-4 European Standard
The Bgu (250mm) LL brake shoes are developed according to UIC 541-4 railway freight wagon standards.
